All aboard on the trails!

In the 1890s, horse-drawn coaches carried holidaymakers from Timboon to Port Campbell and Princetown, following routes that now form part of the Poorpa Yanyeen Meerreeng Trail. Early tourism thrived on shipwreck stories like the Loch Ard and Falls of Halladale, while the Timboon Railway Line, opened in 1892, shaped regional travel for decades. Today, the Camperdown–Timboon Rail Trail and the newly launched Poorpa Yanyeen Meerreeng Trail invite visitors to walk in the footsteps of history.
